Being a lineman in the NFL is a helluva tough job. These guys get scant credit from the fans but do all the ugly work. They block for their skill-position teammates on offense, plug gaps on defense and continually battle in the trenches along the line of scrimmage.
The job takes a serious physical toll.
Just ask ex-New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan. He had a successful 15-year NFL career and has the battle scars to prove it. At a recent Knicks game, Strahan showed off his fingers, which don't really bend the right way. If you have a weak stomach, you might not want to look, but if you can handle it, check out the gross image below.
