It looks like former Detroit Tigers flamethrower Joel Zumaya, now retired, took the city's "Detroit Rock City" moniker a bit too seriously. In 2006, Zumaya was relegated to the bench during the American League Championship Series because of what the Tigers called "right wrist and forearm inflammation." Many assumed it was caused by the force of his pitches—Zumaya regularly hit over 100 mph on the radar gun—but there was a different, more ridiculous explanation.
Turns out Zumaya developed the injury from rocking out at home while playing Guitar Hero. Goodnight, Detroit!
