There's nothing quite like watching your favorite baseball team from the stands while munching a hot dog and Cracker Jacks—that is, unless you're a fan of the Seattle Mariners. That team purveys a different type of snack for its fans– toasted grasshoppers.
Last week, the Mariners announced that toasted grasshoppers would be a new concession item sold at Safeco Field.

The grasshoppers are tossed in chili lime salt and sold for $4 a bowl. Before you judge, know that they are very low in fat, a good source of protein, and probably healthier than anything else you could eat at a stadium.
During the Mariners' home opener on Monday, the grasshoppers sold out. It seems many fans were eager to try them—or the grasshoppers were so tasty that people couldn't get enough of them.
Mariners broadcast reporting that the grilled grasshoppers have sold out.

The fans enjoyed a new snack, and the Mariners beat the Houston Astros 6-0.
