Workouts

Elite athletes perform workouts designed to improve their overall athletic performance—strength, speed, conditioning and flexibility. To gain muscle strength, size and power, they perform weightlifting, bodyweight and other resistance-based workouts. To improve speed, agility and quickness, they complete workouts featuring explosive exercises [e.g., Box Jumps], and sprinting and reaction drills. To increase endurance and stamina, they do conditioning workouts—which can also burn fat and help athletes lose unhealthy weight.
